How to Boot in Safemode with Networking


To boot in Safemode with Networking, kindly follow the simple steps below. The steps applies for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.


1. Turn the computer on or (if it’s already turned on) restart it.

2. Start taping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Boot Options menu appears. If you missed   the Windows Advanced Boot Options menu and reached the login page, restart the computer and try again.

3. Select Safe mode with Networking. Use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard.

4. Press Enter. The computer should begin starting in Safemode with Networking.

5. When you are finished with troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer  to go back to the regular mode.

How to Completely Delete Temp Files


After performing Disk Cleanup, there are times that files under Temp folder still exist. In order to permanently delete those files, you can follow the simple steps below.


For Windows XP:

Step 1:

1. Click Start button > Run.
2. Type temp > press Enter key.
3. Delete the contents of the folder. (Note: You might get a notification that there are files that
    cannot be deleted, skip those file and proceed with the other files instead. You would need to       
    boot in Safemode in order to get rid of the files.

Step 2:

1. Click Start button > Run.
2. Type %temp% > press Enter key.
3. Delete the contents of the folder. (Note: You might get a notification that there are files that    
    cannot be deleted, skip those file and proceed with the other files instead. You would need to     
    boot in Safemode in order to get rid of the files.


For Windows 7:

Step 1:

1. Click Start button > All Programs > Accessories > Run.
2. Type temp > press Enter key.
3. Delete the contents of the folder. (Note: You might get a notification that there are files that
    cannot be deleted, skip those file and proceed with the other files instead. You would need to       
    boot in Safemode in order to get rid of the files.
